Swab Barcelona Art Fair

Julio participe au Swab Barcelona Art Fair  dans le Solo Program, avec le soutien de Fundació Vila Casas, présentant les artistes Zoé Brunet-Jailly, Damian Caccia, Constanza Piaggio et Martin Kaulen.

Avec le projet « Vestiges et promesses », Julio présente quatre artistes qui explorent la mémoire comme un territoire en constante recomposition.

Constanza Piaggio travaille par superposition d’images, en lien à l’histoire de l’art et la nature, déchirant la surface photographique dans un geste délibéré de rupture et d’absence. Zoé Brunet-Jailly explore sa mémoire personnelle à travers des peintures fonctionnant comme un jeu de mémoire, où chaque fragment encapsulé est reconfiguré en de nouvelles associations. Martin Kaulen utilise des matériaux issus de l’extractivisme pour réviser la mémoire coloniale à partir d’un présent critique, tandis que Damien Caccia évoque l’oubli à travers des peintures et images qui se délavent ou se superposent. Ensemble, leurs œuvres révèlent comment la mémoire se fragmente, se transforme et se réinvente au présent.

Julio participates in the Swab Art Fair Barcelona Solo Program with the support of Fundació Vila Casas, presenting the artists Zoé Brunet-Jailly, Damian Caccia, Constanza Piaggio, and Martin Kaulen.

In the project «Vestiges et promesses», the four artists address memory as a territory in recomposition from the present.

In her intervened photographs, Constanza Piaggio works on two layers: one iconographic, linked to art history, and another material, tearing the surface in a deliberate gesture of rupture and absence. Zoé Brunet-Jailly explores her personal and intimate memory through paintings that function like a game of Memory, where each encapsulated fragment is configured into new associations. Martin Kaulen uses materials linked to extractivism to reconfigure colonial memory from a present that critically reflects on the past, while Damian Caccia evokes forgetting through paintings and images that fade or overlap. Together, their works reveal how memory is fragmented, transformed, and reactivated, allowing for new readings.
